Awkward

The other day a friend was over and she showed me a picture on her phone. Look at this, she says. And I almost started laughing because it was a really ugly awkward family. Both parents, the kid, just not good. I thought she was on awkwardfamilyphotos.com and just showing me a funny one. And then I realized it's a mutual friend of ours that I haven't seen since high school, with her husband and child.

I remember her being cute. She has not aged well at all. And married someone with unfortunate genes. And neither of them passed good ones to the kid either.

Oh dear.

Taking A Wedding Poll:

If your husband was notified TWELVE DAYS before he was supposed to be best man in a wedding, that he was expected to do that youtube dance down the aisle thing, would he want to back out of being in the wedding? Is it completely unreasonable to expect this with no rehearsal?

And if it was going to cause massive issues with the friendship if he refused to do it, and he was torn up about it, then what?
